Late Night Cliches

It's raining after a brief respite
Where the monsoon clouds gave the sun
A chance to shine bright in the spotlight.

But now the moon's here
Tired, weary, and burning
From all the love he pent up for the sun during the day.

Ted said nothing good ever happens after 2 am.
Maybe I should have listened to him.

I wouldn't be lying here, otherwise, trusting the same mistake to not be a mistake, again.
